Since the 1st December 2022, regular testing of electrical circuits and installations in rental properties in Wales became law for the Landlords that own them. So whether you are based in Rhyl, Prestatyn or anywhere else in North Wales, we will be happy to undertake a PIT – which stands for Periodic Inspection and Testing – electrical test in your rental properties. Apart from complying with the law, it also ensures that your properties are safe for your tenants from an electrical perspective.
We started our business in Rhyl in 2002 and have gained a fantastic reputation over the years for our high level of service which goes beyond the borders of North Wales. Our team of electricians are NICEIC registered Approved Contractors and as such carry the qualifications needed to undertake periodic inspection and electrical testing on behalf of landlords in the North Wales region.
If you are a landlord needing a periodic electrical inspection, we can liaise directly with your tenants to organise a date and time for the inspection, or if you want to organise it, let us know the address and the time, and we will be there.
The Test will check for any risks of electrical shocks, any circuitry or equipment might be overloaded, and reveal potential fire hazards. Earthing or bonding problems, and defective electrical work done previously can also be identified.
We will also check mains wired smoke alarms and carbon monoxide monitors too.
Once the PIT electrical test is complete, we will issue an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR). Any issues or problems will be made identified in this report, and remedial action can then be taken.
Are you a landlord and would like to arrange a Periodic Inspection electrical test for your property? If so, please email us or ring us on 01745 591151. We will be more than happy to help.
